Listening Points Writers Workshop Weekend
If you enjoy nature writing, here is a unique opportunity—the chance to write, talk and think about writing at Sigurd Olson’s Listening Point. This Writers’ Retreat is an opportunity to draw inspiration from the same rocks, woods, and waters that inspired Sig, one of the foremost nature writers of the 20th century.
While we can’t promise that you will write just like Sigurd Olson, we can promise the inspiration—the cabin, the foot trails, the lake itself. Douglas Wood, President of LPF and author of 30 books, will serve as instructor/ coordinator, providing a warm and welcoming environment for writing and sharing, and guiding discussions. Come and explore the concepts of writing about landscape and the natural world, about language, personal voice and style, the business of publishing, and of course the extended opportunity to enjoy the Point itself.
