EVERY SUMMER these two friends

EVERY SUMMER these two friends begin their game anew. Surrounded by Kathy’s ferns, they ponder the mysteries of the perfect move, untroubled by the doubts, troubles, and anxieties of the Big World. Their world is large enough.
The ferns have never been removed to make room for more ‘yard’, more grass, more flowers. Their graceful beauty, so near the cabin, is a reminder of all the subtle, green beauty of the world—of all things living and growing. Under the stillness of the big pines, they sway and tremble in the slightest breeze, speaking of subtle things that often go unnoticed. It is a good morning to be a fern.
