A GOOD BONSAI MORNING…

My bonsais had a good summer. This sweetheart was near death when I rescued it as a dry and dwindling shrub from Home Depot last November. Nursed through the winter, it recovered and thrived this spring and summer. That is my goal for all these little trees—not just that they survive but that they thrive. Vigorous. Healthy. Even, one imagines, happy. Good goals for each of us, as we welcome the sun, the rain, the storms, the days and nights of life. As best we can, with all the help we can find, to thrive.
