When You Arise in The Morning, Give Thanks

THIS MORNING AT the Church O‘ The Pines, surrounded by trees and birds and a rolling river, soaked by rain and besieged with Bad News, with love for our family and friends and with empathy for all, we are feeling grateful. Tecumseh of the Shawnee people said, ”When you arise in the morning, give thanks. For the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.”

Image and words below from my book, ‘Breathe the Wind, Drink the Rain’. Good Sabbath to you from the migrating warblers, singing wood frogs and chorus frogs, and all the congregation at Church O’ The Pines!
