HOME FROM RAINY LAKE

HOME FROM RAINY LAKE, it is good to be back to the little cabin in the woods we call the Church o’ the Pines. Good to see and hear the humble congregation, hooved, feathered, finned, furred, rooted, and blooming. All seem to acknowledge the changing of the season. The first colors touch the maples and ashes. The squirrels seem even busier than usual. The chickadee and nuthatch, blue jay and woodpecker youngsters are preparing for their first winter. In our congregation all are welcome and appreciated, with no dogmas or particular doctrines imposed or required. Just a general acceptance of the bounty, beauty, and difficulty of life, and a simple, wordless acknowledgment that we are all in it together. Amen. And Good Sabbath!
