IT IS THE FIRST day of Spring

IT IS THE FIRST day of Spring under the great old pines. And probably where you are, too. And the early-bird returning robins are cheerio-ing, and the very first skein of Sandhill cranes are flying over with their raucous, timeless trumpeting. And the river is wide open and the geese are gabbling. And the eagles are chirping in their nest-tree. And BEST OF ALL, Kathy Ann is having her very best day since surgery (!) after two more traumatic trips to the ER last weekend. Pretty rough. But today, five days after our last midnight run, no pain. No cramping. No heavy duty drugs. Definitely feeling stronger. And ordering me about the house to take care of this and that. And then more of this. And then that. And her hair’s growing in—curly, now! Feels like we’ve turned a corner.
And, it’s Spring!!!! Good Spring wishes to you all.
